Several of our clients and team members won book awards at the 2012 Colorado Independent Publishers Association EVVY Book Awards banquet held on May 17th.
Julia Hubbel of Principled Networking won 3 awards. Her first book Wordfood won 1st place in the Business/Career category and 2nd place in the Self -Help category.
Julia’s second book, Tackling the Titans won a merit award in the Business/Career career category. Team members Kerrie Lian designed the cover and interior of both books and Barbara Munson edited both books. Shown below are the covers of both books.
Our clients Mary Anne Harvey and Randy Chapman, Esq. of The Legal Center won 2 awards for their workbook. Preventing Litigation in Special Education Workbook won the 1st Place awards in the Parenting/Family category and Workbook category.
The eBook version of But I don’t Want Eldercare! also published by The Legal Center won a merit award in the Self-Help category. Shown below are Randy, Mary Anne and Kerrie. Kerrie designed the cover and interior of both books.
Julia Spencer’s book, Looking Through a Keyhole won 3rd place in the Audiobook category. Diana Andrade of Brook Forest Voices won the award for her audio conversion of Julia’s book that our team designed and layed out.
Kitty Migaki’s book, Alphabet Denver won a merit award in the Layout and Design category. Kitty took all the photos and wrote the poems and Kerrie Lian designed the cover and interior. Shown below are Kerrie, Kitty, and Tim Hewitt, our representative from Friesens Printing who printed Kitty’s book.
The only technical support award given for ebooks was won by Helena Mariposa for the ebook, I’ll Be There to Write the Story. She is our go-to gal for ebook conversions and proofreading. Shown below are myself, Kerrie and Helena.
